Personal Injury Executive
Fourteen years in Queensland personal injury law.
Emma joined Fraser Lawyers in 2024 and brings fourteen years of experience in Queensland personal injury law. Twelve of those years were spent at another Queensland firm working on CTP motor vehicle accident files, covering every stage of the claims process under the Motor Accident Insurance Act 1994 (Qld).
Emma works on personal injury and CTP files day-to-day. Her work includes preparing Notices of Accident Claim, coordinating independent medical examinations with orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, psychiatrists and occupational therapists, compiling medical records and chronologies, preparing claimant statements and schedules of damages, and liaising with CTP insurers on liability and quantum. She also works on workers compensation files.
The matters Emma works on include claims for people injured in motor vehicle accidents, cycling incidents, workplace incidents, and public liability events. She has worked on claims involving serious orthopaedic, spinal, neurological and psychological injuries, hit-and-run claims under the Nominal Defendant scheme, multi-vehicle accidents, and matters that require coordination across several treating and medico-legal specialists.
Emma is the day-to-day point of contact for many of the firm's personal injury clients. She is known for clear, plain-English explanations of each step in the claim, regular updates without clients having to chase, and a calm approach to a process that most clients have never been through before. Born and raised on the Gold Coast and the youngest of five siblings, Emma understands that an injury affects not only the person who is hurt but the family around them. Outside of work, she hosts Australia's Biggest Morning Tea each year to raise funds for cancer research.
Emma holds appointment as a Commissioner for Declarations under the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations Act 1991 (Qld), which allows her to witness statutory declarations and certify documents required as part of a client's claim. She works from Fraser Lawyers' Bundall office on the Gold Coast and assists clients across South East Queensland and Brisbane.
