Bundall sits on a bend of the Nerang River, 2.6 kilometres south-east of Surfers Paradise and about six kilometres south of Southport. The commercial precinct north of Ashmore Road and west of Bundall Road carries a good deal of the coast’s professional and business activity, alongside Aquis Park and the residential pockets running down to the water.

How a matter starts here.
The first conversation is short and free. Fifteen minutes is usually enough to work out what kind of matter it is, what has to happen first, whether anything is time-critical, and whether this firm is the right place for it. If it is not, we say so and point you somewhere that is.
If the matter proceeds, you get a costs agreement and a written estimate before work starts. The estimate sets out what is included, what is not, and what would change it. Disbursements, the third-party costs like search fees, filing fees and transfer duty, are listed separately because they are not our fees and we cannot discount them.
The matter is then handled by a lawyer rather than passed to a clerk, and you deal with that lawyer directly rather than through a call centre.

What it costs
Fees are charged either as a fixed fee or at an hourly rate, depending on the work. Conveyancing, wills and most defined pieces of work are fixed, so the number is known at the start. Litigated and open-ended matters are charged at an hourly rate against a written estimate that is updated if the scope changes.
You will always have a costs agreement in writing before work begins, as Queensland law requires, and an estimate you can hold us to. Disbursements are listed separately, because they are third-party costs rather than our fees.

86 Bundall Road, Bundall QLD 4217, in the commercial precinct between Ashmore Road and the Nerang River. It is a few minutes from Surfers Paradise and about ten from Southport. Parking is available on site.
Do I have to come into the office?
No. Most matters run entirely by phone, email and video, and Queensland conveyancing settles electronically. Come in if you would rather talk in person, particularly for a will or a matter with a lot of documents to go through. Neither approach changes the fee.
What happens on the first call?
Fifteen minutes, no charge, no obligation. You describe the situation, we tell you what kind of matter it is, whether anything is urgent, what the likely steps are and roughly what it should cost. If it is not something this firm should be doing, we say so.
Do you act for people outside Bundall?
Yes. The office is at Bundall but the practice covers the Gold Coast and Queensland generally, and a good deal of the work is for clients who never come to the office at all.
How are fees worked out?
Fixed fees for defined work such as conveyancing and wills, hourly rates against a written estimate for open-ended matters. Is there a time limit on my matter?
Often, and the limits differ sharply between matter types. Contract conditions can run in days, court proceedings in years, and some notice requirements sit well before any court deadline. It is worth asking early rather than assuming, because the cheapest time to deal with a deadline is before it has passed.
