Chantal King.
Chantal is a conveyancing paralegal at Fraser Lawyers' Bundall office. She runs residential, commercial and off-the-plan conveyancing files from the contract through to settlement, and is often the person clients speak to at each step along the way.
Conveyancing Paralegal
With clients at every step, through to settlement.
Chantal joined Fraser Lawyers in 2019. She has worked in the legal industry for around fifteen years, since her final year of school, and has spent most of that time in conveyancing, including several years as a conveyancing paralegal at another firm before coming to Fraser Lawyers. She is a Commissioner for Declarations.
At Fraser Lawyers, Chantal works across the whole conveyancing process, from the contract through to settlement. Her work spans residential, commercial and off-the-plan matters, and the day-to-day detail that carries a file through: reviewing contracts, working through building and pest conditions, following up finance approvals, and handling the searches, adjustments and paperwork each transaction needs. She acts for individuals and families, first-home buyers, property developers, business owners, company directors, banks and brokers, and lends a hand across other parts of the office when needed.
Chantal's approach is hands-on. She knows that buying or selling a property is one of the biggest decisions most people make, and that first-home buyers and first-time sellers in particular can find the process daunting. She keeps in touch at every stage, explains what is happening in plain English, and walks clients through each step so they always know where their matter is up to. Clients describe her as approachable, empathetic and detail-focused, and someone who goes to the extra effort to make the experience a good one.
Chantal is not admitted as a solicitor and does not provide legal advice. She works within Fraser Lawyers' conveyancing team, alongside the firm's Principal, who is responsible for the legal work itself. As a Commissioner for Declarations under the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations Act 1991 (Qld), Chantal can witness statutory declarations and certify the documents clients often need as part of a property transaction. She works on both Queensland and New South Wales conveyancing matters.
Outside work, Chantal's world revolves around her family. She is a mum and a wife, and says her children are her biggest motivation, showing them that you can build a professional career and be a present parent at the same time. When she is not at her desk she enjoys getting out for a walk, a Pilates class, and settling in with a good book. She is based at the firm's Bundall office.
